Serami Blissful Foundation is an organisation with a broad outlook to provide Sustainable Development to the widows, widowers and orphans in Kenya. It arose from the ashes of systemic degradation of lifestyle of the lives of widows and orphans since time memorial. Sustainable Development can be defined as meeting the present needs while at the same time preserving the ability for the future generations to meet their needs. According to the U.N. the global challenges that are impediments to Development include but not limited to poverty, inequality, climate change et all.
Kenya being a developing country, it one of the most promising country in the present age. Tapping to this space, we have sort to invest on widows, widowers and orphans considering they need the most care economically. Just as the name goes, to invest means, allocate money with the expectation of a positive benefit in future. To patner with the U.N. on the SDGs, our main focus is to alleviate the lives of the said target group from the trenches of poverty and reedem their future lives.
UN members states in the year 2015 committed to end poverty worldwide and proposed 17 Sustainable Development Goals to address the social, economic and environmental elements in every county. Narrowing down, the goals are designed to curb poverty, hunger, AIDs and discrimination against the vulnerables. The know how, technology and financial resources from all of society is necessary to achieve these goals. These achievements requires support at the highest level. As we well know, Orphans, Widows and Widowers living in Africa fall directly under vulnerable category.
In the past report by Sustainable Development Goals Center for Africa, “Africa 2030” reveals that minimal progress had been made; in some instances, there is complete stagnation more than half of the global poor are found in Africa. One in three Africans is at risk of food insecurity Africa’s failure to attain the SDGs will have implications everywhere on the planet since some SDGs i.e. Climate change, effective partnership. The motivation behind Serami Bliss Foundation the Africa’s ambition vision 2063. Our target population are the Orphans, Widows and Widowers to alleviate their lives.
We cannot bank on National Development Banks as the main source of our lifetime credit banks because In Africa, they are hugely constrained due to regulation, governance and financing.
